Moderate coffee drinking may reduce heart failure risk

Sharing is Caring

Coffee is one thing I need to start my day out right. Now, research from the American Heart Association’s journal Circulation Heart Failure, found that drinking coffee regularly and in moderate amounts may reduce the risk of heart failure.

The research showed that regularly drinking the equivalent of two cups of coffee each day has significant benefit on heart health when compared with no coffee consumption. The caveat though, is that drinking excessive amounts of coffee may have the opposite effect and actually increase your risk of heart failure.

So, the key word here is moderation. A venti coffee from Starbucks would probably equal your limit for the day. If you normally have multiple cups throughout the day, consider using a smaller cup and savoir each sip.
