Local teacher honored for saving 5 year old using CPR

Katie Grippen, a teacher at the Escondido Community Child Development Center is being honored for saving the life of a five year old student in November of last year. The five year old collapsed in her classroom and she performed CPR until the paramedics arrived. The student was diagnosed with having a rare heart condition. Doctor’s credit Grippen with saving the five year old’s life and that without CPR he would not have made it. Watch the video below to see Katie Grippen being honored. Way to go Katie!!
