Deadly D’s of Distracted Driving Crash Prevention Program for Young Drivers
Precious Life CPR is proud to announce the launching of a new course, Deadly D’s of Distracted Driving Crash Prevention Program for Young Drivers. Accidents involving teenagers and young adults are more and more being attributed to distracted driving. Whether it is from texting while driving, talking on their cell phones, being distracted by other passengers in the vehicle, or driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, distracted driving can have serious and sometimes fatal results.
This course provides students with firsthand experience by participating in classroom activities and field exercises of how alcohol and other drugs distort vision, affects coordination and influences response time in a non-lethal setting. The course gives them insight into their own personal limitations and gives them insights into the dangers of multitasking while driving, and allows them to process how their lives can change in the blink of an eye when their choices contribute to, or cause a crash. As a part of the Deadly D’s course students will learn CPR & Basic First Aid.
Learn more about this course by visiting the Deadly D’s of Distracted Driving course page.

What our students are saying…
My evening with Beverly Fisher yesterday was one of the best CPR/AED classes I have ever had. She was both professional and funny and I learned a lot..I'm ready to save lives! Thanks you and I will absolutely redo my cert with "Precious Life" when the time comes. Thanks again, Ingrid
The instructor was very professional and related well to her students. Beverly demonstrated a mastery of her subject and her explanation as to changes in CPR, First Aid and AED provided me with critical information I may be able to use in assisting someone involved in an accident situation.
The CPR training was great! Very practical and informative! Thank you for your comprehensive instruction!
Beverly was amazing and so knowledgeable and well-versed in all topics. I learned a lot and feel like I'm fully equipped with the knowledge and tools necessary to perform if a situation arises where I need to use these skills. It was an extremely good use of my time, the class was run very efficiently, and I look forward to seeing you again when I need to renew! Thanks again!
Why we teach CPR … in honor of Kristie!
In loving memory of Kristie Marie Pena 1977-1992
Precious Life CPR was founded in my daughter Kristie’s memory and is dedicated to the eight heroes that stopped at a roadside accident in 1992 to help the injured victims, using a team approach where everyone did the “first one thing they could remember” to help. One person called 911, another started compressions, another directed traffic, another gave her breaths, others took turns doing compressions, while others stayed with her and prayed with her. Ultimately these heroes kept my precious child alive until EMS arrived. Even though she did not survive her injuries, we will never forget the gift these heroes gave us by doing everything possible for her! Continue reading more of what motivates us and makes us so passionate about CPR.
Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. James 4:14
“Why Learn CPR?”
Teenager Emily Orta was an active teen. No one ever expected her to have a sudden cardiac arrest as she played soccer for her high school. Emily was saved by quick thinking of first responders and the team at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, who corrected her heart defect. Training for first responders is crucial.
